The Master of Science in Cupping Therapy is a specialised postgraduate degree (180 UK credits) designed for healthcare and cupping professionals who want to move from “good practitioner” to true clinical expert. Built on a strong scientific and clinical foundation, this programme integrates modern anatomy, physiology, pain science, diagnostic technologies, and research with the rich traditional heritage of Hijama and cupping therapy.

Across 12–18 months full-time (or 24–30 months part-time), you will deepen your understanding of how cupping works on the musculoskeletal, lymphatic, vascular and nervous systems, learn to use tools such as AcuoGraph for evidence-based assessment, and develop the research and clinical skills needed to practise at an advanced, professional level.

يعتبر ماجستير العلوم في الحجامة العلاجية برنامجًا دراسياً متخصصًا على مستوى الدراسات العليا (180 ساعة معتمدة وفق النظام البريطاني)، صمم للعاملين في مجالات الرعاية الصحية والحجامة الراغبين في الانتقال من مستوى "ممارس جيد" إلى مستوى خبير سريري محترف. يقوم البرنامج على أساس علمي متين يجمع بين علم التشريح والوظائف، علوم الألم، تشخيص الاضطرابات، البحث العلمي، والتقنيات الحديثة، مع الحفاظ على العمق التراثي للحجامة والطب النبوي.

وخلال مدة تتراوح بين 12–18 شهرًا بدوام كامل أو 24–30 شهرًا بدوام جزئي، يطور الطالب فهمًا عميقًا لآليات تأثير الحجامة على الجهاز العضلي الهيكلي والجهاز الليمفاوي والدورة الدموية والجهاز العصبي، ويتعلم استخدام أدوات تشخيصية حديثة مثل  AcuoGraphلتطبيق ممارسات علاجية مبنية على الأدلة. كما يكتسب الطالب مهارات بحثية وسريرية متقدمة تؤهله للعمل بمستوى مهني رفيع.

Admissions Requirements

  • Applicants to the Master in Cupping Therapy from HSSI must meet the following entry requirements to ensure they have the necessary background and professional experience to succeed in the program.

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in healthcare, medicine, nursing, allied health sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • HSSI Diploma in Cupping Therapy (Prerequisite)​

Alternative Entry Pathways

  • Candidates who do not meet the standard requirements may be considered under the following pathways:

  • Work Experience:

    • Extensive professional experience in cupping therapy (minimum 5 years), demonstrating expertise in curriculum development, faculty training, or institutional management, with strong leadership potential skills.

    • Applicants must provide a detailed CV and references.

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

    • Relevant prior qualifications or certifications may be evaluated for credit transfer or admission eligibility.

Upon meeting all the graduation requirements, students will be awarded:

  1. Extended Diploma in the chosen specification by Notting Hill College.

  2. MSc in Cupping Therapy with a specific chosen major by Eton University.
