Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety -
With CPHQ Exam Preparation

In recent years the quality and safety of healthcare services have become an ultimate goal for all healthcare professionals & administrators. 


Many health organizations are striving to deliver excellence and improvements in the context of a wide variety of government initiatives. Healthcare staff needs to be educated to identify best practices and to learn how to apply & advocate what they have learnt to their organizations or departments.


The HSSI provides the diploma in healthcare quality as per the guidelines of the National Association of Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) for the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality exam (CPHQ). 


During the preparation course for CPHQ exam, the learners acquire the needed knowledge and get introduced to the practices in healthcare quality that qualify them to earn a diploma qualification from the HSSI in healthcare quality. This maximizes the learners ‘benefit by getting the necessary guidance to pass the CPHQ exam and in the meantime earn an internationally recognised British credential.

Course Structure

Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety consists of 7 modules and project work.

Unit 1: Healthcare Quality Management System
Unit 2: Leadership & Governance
Unit 3: Performance Improvement
Unit 4: Healthcare Data Analytics
Unit 5: Patient Safety System
Unit 6: Clinical Risk Management
Unit 7: QMS Standards & Accreditation Programs

Various learning and teaching methods are used in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety, including traditional lectures, computer/internet-based learning, and student-based interactive learning.


Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety will be assessed using both assignments for each module and a case study after the end of all modules.
