Course Structure
The programme is structured into three main phases
Phase 1& 2: Extended Diploma (120 Credits) Delivered by HSSI and awarded by Notting Hill College.
Core Modules – 60 Credits

All students complete the following four core modules (15 credits each)
Specialisation Pathways – 60 Credits

You choose one pathway (major), consisting of three modules of 20 credits each.
Phase 3: Research Component (Dissertation) – (60 Credits)
• Apply your knowledge to an independent research project.
• You will complete an independent research project (10,000–15,000 words) under academic supervision in your chosen pathway.
• This phase is awarded by Eton University.

يتكون البرنامج من ثلاث مراحل رئيسية:

تطبيق المعارف المكتسبة في مشروع بحثي مستقل.

ينجز الطالب مشروع بحثي مستقل (رسالة علمية) يتراوح حجمه بين 10,000 و15,000 كلمة، وذلك تحت إشراف أكاديمي وفي إطار مسار التخصص المختار.

تُمنَح هذه المرحلة من قبل جامعة إيتون.

4. Introduction to general cupping therapy (Hijama)
5. Professional ethics in complementary medicine
6. Legal responsibilities and professional accountability
7. Professional identity and practitioner development
8. Continuous professional development (CPD)
Core module 2 – Scientific Principles, Mechanisms & Clinical Applications of Cupping Therapy - Credits: 15
1. Classification and types of cupping therapy
2. Scientific critique of traditional cupping theories
3. Mechanisms of action (circulation, neuro-modulation, inflammation)
4. Evidence-based benefits of cupping therapy
5. Disease-oriented cupping protocols
6. Advantages and disadvantages
7. Clinical decision-making
8. Critical literature review
Core module 3 – Advanced Diagnostic Technologies & Clinical Monitoring in Cupping Therapy- Credits: 15
1. Modern diagnostic technologies in complementary medicine
2. Bioenergy and physiological monitoring
3. AcuoGraph testing: principles, application, limitations
4. Pre- and post-treatment assessment
5. Clinical monitoring and follow-up
6. Documentation and outcome measurement
7. Data interpretation for patient improvement
8. Integrating diagnostics into treatment plans
9. Limitations and ethical considerations
Core module 4 – Clinical Safety, Point Mapping & Medical Integration in Cupping Therapy- Credits: 15
1. International cupping point nomenclature and mapping standards
2. Correction and standardisation of cupping points
3. Advanced point selection strategies
4. Contraindications and red-flag conditions
5. Safety in complex medical cases (cancer, renal failure, autoimmune diseases, cardiac conditions)
6. Pregnancy and postpartum considerations
7. Integrating cupping therapy with conventional medical practice
8. Case studies and clinical workshops
9. Risk management and governance frameworks
